Frequently Asked Questions

Below you'll see a list of most questions asked by first time customers!

What should I know before getting waxed?

There are a few regulations to waxing. So here's a list of a few things you should know before getting waxed.

Don't tan 24 hours before or after your appointment. If you still wish to do so, make sure to have your entire bikini area covered.

Your hair should be at least 1/4-inch long. (You should be able to pull on it). Any hair shorter than that length will be more difficult to remove.

You should avoid making your appointments around the time of your period, since you'll be more sensitive and will feel more discomfort. However, if you had already made your appointment long before, you can still keep it or reschedule it for another day.

Here's a tip- many of our customers said that they have tried taking Advil or Tylenol before their appointments and that it helps relieve the discomfort!

Try your best to be on time! If you think you might be late, give us a quick call, and we could move your appointment for a later time on the same day.

What is the difference between the Brazilian wax and the bikini wax?

The bikini wax is mostly on the area where it's not covered by the swimsuit, versus the Brazilian wax that takes out the hair on the entire front and inner back area.

Some people like to get everything done, but leave a strip, that would be considered as a Brazilian Wax.

Is there anything I can use to prevent ingrown hairs/bumps after waxing?

Yes, we sell a product called "Tend Skin" which minimizes the appearance of bumps caused by ingrown hairs. You can also use it for razor burn.

Can I bring a friend in the room with me while I get my wax?

Unfortunately, no. We need the space to move around to perform the waxing.

How long does a Brazilian wax last?

The area remains hairless for an average of two weeks, and by the third week, you will start to see some slow-growing hair return.

You will be ready for another wax between four and six weeks.

What are the benefits of getting a Brazilian wax done?

Waxing the genital area has been around for centuries. Once you get your Brazilian Wax done, you'll be able to rock any swimsuit you like, without the fear of any hair popping out.

Also, let's not forget that waxing is a quick procedure. Our specialists will take only about 15 - 30 minutes to wax you.

Does getting a wax hurt?

We have many customers who say that waxing can be uncomfortable. However, others have fun and relax during the process and leave the room without feeling any discomfort or pain.

It all depends on the way you react to pain. Our staff is well trained to be soft and easy-going to make the customer feel less worried and more relaxed during the process. So just relax, and everything will be fine.

Is it safe to do a Brazilian wax during pregnancy?

Every pregnancy is different. Please consult with your physician before you make an appointment with us. But, many moms-to-be schedule waxing a week before their due date.

What are your sanitary measures?

When it comes to waxing, we need to always make sure everything is clean and safe to use on a customer. Some of our sanitary measures are:

Always wear gloves

Use disinfectant to clean our beds and sanitary bed coverings

Use hospital-grade sanitation for our tweezers

Follow all state guidelines

What could I do to make my waxing experience more comfortable?

As mentioned before, many of our customers like to take Advil or Tylenol before their waxing appointments. If that is not something you'd like to do, you can also ask our staff to use a numbing spray.

Does Brazilian wax get easier?

Yes, your first time might be nerve-wracking, especially because you don't know what you're getting into. But after a while, the discomfort won't bother you as much and you'll feel more relaxed. Also, we have noticed that after you get a few Brazilian waxes, your genital hair grows thinner!

What to expect after checking-in?

The process is pretty fast and simple. After you check-in, our staff would require a few moments to clean up the room, and set it up for you. Then, they will call you in. Now is the time to ask for the numbing spray or to ask any other questions. As you get in the room, you should undress from the waist down (even panties). Then our staff will come in, talk to you a bit, make sure you are relaxed, and begin the wax.

Who is the best person I can get my Brazilian wax done?

We get this question a lot, especially from new customers. However, we don't have one best person. All of our girls are the best at waxing! They've been training for 1 - 5 years before actually working with clients. What we recommend is to choose a specialist, and change every time you come in, until you find one person that you feel most relaxed and comfortable with.

How old do I need to be in order to get a Brazilian wax done?

We perform Brazilian wax on anyone over 16. Anyone younger than 16 must have a parent or guardian consent.

How much does it cost to get a Brazilian or bikini wax done?

Our prices are different depending on if it's your first time, or if it has been more than six weeks since you last got it done.

If you have any questions, call us.

Do I need to make an appointment to get a wax done?

At our salon, we're more than happy to welcome walk-ins and appointments. On busy days, however, there might be a wait for rooms to become unoccupied. We advise that our customers call in advance.

What should I not do after I get a Brazilian wax?

There are a few things that we advise our customers not to do after receiving a Brazilian wax.

No tanning beds for at least 24 hours.

When you get a wax, it peels off all of the dead skin of your genital area. If you tan right after it can cause sunburn, therefore you'll need to let your skin rest

Avoid taking a hot shower or a bath for a few hours

Do you offer Brazilian waxing for men?

Yes, we do. For many different reasons, men are getting waxing done more than ever. All our services are unisex.

After my wax, I still felt tiny little hairs. Why?

During the process, all the hair above your skin was removed and very little, if any, was broken during your waxing. We check the hair when removed to see if the root was removed, as well. Anagen is a growth phase the hair right below the skin getting ready to come up. If you feel any hair above the skin, this is what you're feeling.

This new hair growth will be very fine and not stubbly. It couldn't be removed because it was not above the skin, yet. This will minimize and be eliminated after additional waxes.

How long will my Brazilian Wax last?

Your Brazilian Wax should last between 3-5 weeks before you see hair.

How long does it take for the redness to go away?

The redness after a Brazilian wax should go away within the next few hours, but that depends on how sensitive your skin is.

Should I shave in between appointments?

Definitely, not. When you shave, you can cause the hair to grow thicker and many times cause it to create ingrown hair. When you get a Brazilian wax, it makes your hair grow back softer and finer. If you wax regularly over time, you should have finer hair and less ingrown hair.
